The Foundation for Latin American Social and Economic Research, LASO, is a specialized research center dedicated to social, economic, cultural and scientific relations between Latin America and Europe, and to international development cooperation worldwide. LASO is established in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and has four work areas: Research, Consulting, Training Courses, and Dissemination.

LASO offers Tailor-made training courses for professionals in key development issues, international cooperation approaches, public policies, project design and programme management, and monitoring and evaluation methods.

LASO provides high-level expertise for short or long term to Governments, projects and companies, in all fields of development and for all regions in the World.

LASO carries out studies and research on economic development, cultural diversity, climate change and political processes. Last but nos least, we carry out communication, visibility and awareness-raising actions in all these areas.
